COMMUNITY DENTAL

COVID-19 LEVEL 2 service update:

We are providing our general dentistry service for LOW RISK adults and adolescents under 18 years from our Dental Clinic in Ohinemutu. Please call us in the first instance for more information and to complete an over-the-phone triage assessment.

Support to find a midwife, alternatively whanau can contact Koopu Midwives 0800566788 or Maioha Midwives 0800378693. We provide maternal education and information during pregnancy as well as support engagement with other health and social services appropriate to client needs.

Criteria: Hapu (pregnant) women

Kia Puawai Start Well

Our Start Well programme is hands on practical mother craft support for first time parents presenting with infant feeding/sleeping/attachment issues and/or mild mental health or social concerns that are impacting on their ability to confidently care for baby. 

Criteria: First time mama/parents or baby aged 0-12 months of age

YOUTH SERVICE

The Manaaki Ora Youth Service supports young people aged 16 to 19 to engage in education, training, and work-based learning, and to have the life skills to be a successful contributing member of the community. We can offer you coaching and mentoring and support towards an independent future.

Tipu Ora Family Start focuses on achieving positive outcomes for children through strengthening the whānau (family) to be self-sufficient and to ensure that tamariki (children) have the best possible start in life until the child is  5 years old.

Criteria: Rotorua resident, hapu mama (expectant mother) or primary caregivers to a child that is under 1 (some outside of this criteria maybe considered) and have are experiencing challenges.

The Tipu Ora Elder Abuse service address the immediate needs of older people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing (or perceived to be experiencing), abuse and neglect.

Criteria: Resides in Whakatane District, Western Bay of Plenty District or Taupo District, older people over 65 (some outside of this criteria maybe considered).
